| About Me: | My friends call me Rae. I've had a love of animals all my life and have been lucky to care for a great deal of them -- hamsters, gerbils, mice, rats, guinea pigs, rabbits, dogs, a cat, frogs, fish, a snake, a turtle, a salamander, and a chinchilla. We adopted two beautiful guinea pigs on May 27, 2007 -- Phineas and Bobby.
If you couldn't tell by now, I'm vehemently opposed to fur. On doctor's orders I became a vegetarian in December 2003. Eventually that lead me to become a believer in animal rights and welfare. I do not wear animals skins and do my best to avoid products tested on animals.
I spend my free time writing, reading, singing, drawing, painting, wood burning (pyrography), practicing calligraphy, letter writing, and hanging out with my sweetheart Chris. I also love mountain biking, urban exploration, shooting pool, bowling, roller blading, and swimming. |
