Waiting Patiently

It's been since June. Everything has been upside down. Inside out. Dick Douglas, a friend and landlord passed away. Dottie his wife had to liquidate the properties. This meant I had to move out quickly for easy transition. My folks volunteered to hold the dogs for me so I could settle in easier. Thank God, for Mike Drexler, he provided me a place to get settled in. So, Rocco is now waiting patiently for my return. He's a happy camper though. He loves running around the property and the company of other dogs to hang with. On occasion he gets a little irritated by the younger ones when they want to play. He just likes to do his own thing. Chase after gophers and birds. He does miss pop. Mom treats him good, like a member of the family. But, it's not the same. He listens for that sound...but it's not there. He anticipates it. But, he knows. He knows that sound will come. The sound of pop's pick up driving down the old dirt road in front of the property. I look forward to that day, which will come soon.
