What a wakeup call!

Friday Nov 10, 2006 08:03:00 PM

Today that girl child who sleeps in my room slept in late. Normally she gets up and starts moving around - I see a lump being disturbed amongst the darkness - around the time the sun hits her windowsill. Well she does this most days, but on a few days out of the week she doesn't get up so early and instead lounges around in my room or in the bigger room in which we all live. So anyways, today was another one of those days where that girl child took a long time to wake. I think it is because that picture and sound box was on late playing something that sounded like this : "Five hundred twenty five thousand six hundred minutes..." Well it took her a long time to get up, and all of a sudden I saw the mysterious disturbance of blankets across the room. Out poked a head under a dark sweater and then came an arm, and finally the rest of her. She didn't see me poking my head out from under MY blanket. She just left the room! And I was in the darkness for quite some time too! I knew it was bright beyond my blankie, but I couldn't prove it because that girl child had my blanket over my cage still! Finally I harumphed at her as she walked by and she came rushing in, and uncovered me. I wish she would have warned me that she had already opened those shutter looking things that make the light come into the room in slants. Because all of a sudden it was BRIGHT! So I just harumphed some more till she blocked the direct light and let me adjust. My goodness, we reallie have to train these humans!
