Fire story...
Wednesday May 30, 2007 03:14:00 PM
Heres the news story...About Grandmas house fire that happened yesterday... SABIN, Minn. – City fire officials responded to a report of a house fire at 247 Main St. on Tuesday. When fire officials arrived about 5:10 p.m., the occupant was out of the house, Sabin Fire Chief Randy Schmidt said. The occupant was treated for smoke inhalation then taken to Fargo MeritCare Hospital for observation, he said. Two cats also escaped the fire, but one was treated with oxygen by rescue crews, Schmidt said. The fire was contained within five minutes and consumed only living room furniture, said Schmidt, who added the house sustained smoke damage.
Katie Noennig, an EMT for Sabin Rescue, pets a cat while giving it oxygen after it was pulled from a house fire at the Kirk and Renee Erickson home Tuesday in Sabin.
The house’s residents are Kirk and Renee Erickson. A cause was not immediately known. State fire marshal officials are slated to investigate the fire today, Schmidt said.

| I look up story and see you getting oxygen. You look passed out. This very scare stuff for humans, let alone cats. Kittens are very resiliant. |
