Help save dogs with heartworms this December!

In Louisiana heartworms are something that all dogs and even cats are afraid of. Because our mosquito population never seems to get any smaller we have too many cases of heartworms. You see we don't really have cold enough weather to kill them, but we have lots of rain to breed them. It's sad to say but too many sweet doggies out there are being thrown out and killed in the pound simply because no one can afford to pay for them to go through heartworm treatment. It is a pretty expensive and very tiring treatment where the doggie needs lots of time to rest in a quite home with loving people to let him know that everything is going to be ok.
APAWS takes dozens of dogs a month from the pound who have been diagnosed with heartworms in order to give them the chance they deserve. Unforutnately the treatment is not free and without the support of their donators and loving volunteers they cannot continue saving them forever. Please help me help them pay for this much needed treatment.
The reason i am now running for petster of the month is to help pay for these sweet, innocent dogs to go through heartworm treatment so that they can have a chance to find a loving home instead of just being give up on.
Please remember that a vote for me is a vote to help save the life of a homeless pet in Southern Louisiana.
